This Privacy Policy explains how SettleMyDue collects, uses, shares, protects and retains personal information when you use our website, submit an enquiry, use the client portal, make a payment or receive borrower-assistance services.
Depending on your interaction with us, we may collect your name, mobile number, email address, identity/contact details, employment and income information, loan and lender details, EMI/outstanding/overdue information, notices, account or credit-related documents you choose to provide, communications, case notes, payment and transaction references, portal activity, device/technical information and other information necessary to provide the requested service.
We may use information to respond to enquiries; assess and onboard cases; organise lender-wise information; provide agreed borrower-assistance services; communicate with you; coordinate authorised lender-related or professional work; generate agreements and records; process and reconcile payments; provide portal access; prevent fraud or misuse; maintain security; resolve complaints; and comply with applicable legal, tax, accounting or regulatory requirements.
Where processing is based on your consent, you may contact us to withdraw that consent, subject to processing already lawfully completed and information we must retain for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, dispute or compliance purposes. If information is necessary to provide a requested service, withdrawing or not providing it may limit our ability to continue that service.
We may share information only as reasonably necessary with authorised SettleMyDue personnel, technology/hosting providers, payment processors, communications providers, relevant qualified professionals and, where authorised or necessary for the agreed service, lenders or parties connected with your case. We may also disclose information where required by applicable law, court order or competent authority.
Online payments may be processed by third-party payment providers such as Razorpay. SettleMyDue does not ask customers to send card PINs, UPI PINs, OTPs or banking passwords. Payment providers process payment-instrument information under their own terms and privacy practices.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information handled. No internet or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so customers should also protect their passwords, OTPs and account credentials.
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and for applicable legal, accounting, tax, dispute-prevention, fraud-prevention and compliance requirements. Retention periods may differ depending on the type of record and the status of a case.
You may contact us to request reasonable access to or correction of personal information, or to raise a privacy concern. Requests are subject to verification, applicable law and records we are required or permitted to retain.
Our website or portal may use or link to third-party services. Their processing of information is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and SettleMyDue does not control independent third-party practices.
We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, technology, providers or applicable requirements change. The current version and its update date will be published on this page.
